Rent sustainable ski boots!

In recent years, there has been growing awareness regarding the environmental impact of recreational activities, including skiing.
The winter sports industry is responding to this challenge with innovations and initiatives aimed at reducing its ecological footprint. A tangible example of this commitment is the recent developments in the ski boot sector.

Thanks to our collaboration with Dalbello, Rent and Go centers offer the opportunity to rent the brand-new and exclusive green ski boots, whose shells are made by recycling plastics from old ski boots that we provide.

This production method significantly reduces all environmental impacts:

  • - 56% carbon footprint, according to the environmental impact category of climate change
  • -3268 kg of waste diverted from landfills, thanks to sorting and recycling
  • -308 GJ of oil and natural gas consumption, which would otherwise be needed for the production of virgin raw materials
  • -12,000 kg of CO2 equivalent emissions, avoided due to the drastic reduction in the consumption of virgin raw materials.

This initiative, called #LifeREskiboot, represents a significant step forward in sustainable skiing. Not only do we offer skiers a high-quality skiing experience, but we also demonstrate how the industry can adopt eco-friendly practices without compromising performance or safety.

Rent and Go and Dalbello’s approach to sustainability does not stop here. In addition to material recyclability, both companies are exploring further ways to reduce the environmental impact of their products' production and life cycle.

This could include adopting more energy-efficient manufacturing processes, using recycled or biodegradable materials, and seeking alternatives to high-impact transportation.

The introduction of Dalbello ski boots with recycled materials in Rent and Go rentals represents our commitment to sustainability in winter sports.

With further efforts and similar collaborations, we can hope for a future where skiing not only provides fun and adventure but also leaves a reduced ecological footprint on the mountain environment we love so much.
